Our Chinese co-production (Beijing New Century Media, Sun Media International, CCTV9 and NDR/arte) about the snow leopard will premiere October 20th at 4:15pm on arte.
The film deals with the conflict between local herdsmen and the leopards, which prey on their sheep. Buddhist monks try to solve this conflict with an extraordinary project: The herdsmen are given cameras to document their daily lives and rediscover their traditional understanding of nature.
The film was awarded at Jiayuguan International Short Film Festival.
